DAYLILY RUST is a fungal disease that causes damage to daylily foliage and flower stems.  It is caused by the fungus Puccinia hemerocallidis and has arrived in North America, in the year 2000.

THE DISEASE may be controlled, but NOT eliminated, by regular application of appropriate chemicals. The disease does not kill the plant, but the affected plants are weak growers and are unattractive in the landscape.

SINCE THE ARRIVAL of daylily rust in this country, we have each year selected the plants that showed the least foliar damage and bred them together.  From the seedlings that came from these hybrid crosses, we them selected the seedlings that showed still less foliar damage.

NOW, AFTER MANY GENERATIONS of  careful such breeding, our daylilies show only the smallest amount of rust damage...

WITH THESE NEWLY DEVELOPED Kaskel Daylilies™, you can now enjoy a healthy and attractive installation with NO need for costly and time-consuming chemical spraying!
